Silicium forms part of the important macromolecules as elastin and collagen and induces and controls the proliferation of fibroblasts favouring the regeneration of elastic and collagenous fibres. It binds moisture in the epidermis this filming and strengthening the skin. It is also known to act as an antioxidant preventing the acceleration of premature ageing.
Silicium is used for reduction and prevention of the effects of cutaneous ageing, destroying free radicals and moisture. Silica stimulates and regulates the fibroblast mitosis.
